A few new members will occasionally ask how to add images to their posts, so here's a quick guide. This is only for if you want to post images that you have on your computer. See Guide For Newbies - Bb-code for help on posting other images:
First, you will need to choose an image hosting site. Some of these will require registration, which will allow you to keep track of your images (in case you need to use them again in the future, or delete them), but others will not require this. Here are some of the more popular ones:
Once you have chosen a host, and, optionally, registered, it is time to upload your image. This should be very easy, so onto the next step.
Now you need to find either the "Direct Link" or the "IMG Code" box, and copy it, then paste it into your post where you want it to appear (see Guide For Newbies - Bb-code for help with this).
You can now click the preview button to check if it worked.
Note: Some websites will not allow you to hotlink, which may result in a different (usually the site logo or a message along the lines of "You are not permitted to use inline linking from site XYZ.com") image being displayed. If this happens, you will have to save the image, then upload it to an image host.
