Anyone ever heard of Wednesday 13? I have no clue what type of music they are, I'm not really sure if I like them. I just wanted to get some opinions! So..anyone?

Can I get a link or something? Tell you what, when I wake up later, I'll try to find all I can about them. It's almost my night-night time.

Joseph Poole aka Wednesday 13

Joseph Poole, better known as Wednesday 13 (born August 12, 1976), is a rock musician from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is most famous for his role as the frontman of the Murderdolls. He has also played in several other bands, including Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, Wednesday 13, Bourbon Crow and most recently Gunfire 76.
Poole currently resides in Landis, North Carolina. Poole is a huge fan of campy horror movie parodies and mildly macabre TV shows such as The Munsters and The Addams Family (the latter being the source of his "Wednesday" moniker), which influence his tongue-in-cheek lyrics. He also created a set of cartoon characters with his wife called the Thirteen Dead Kids, which was released as a clothing line. A book was supposed to be released, though this was halted due to Poole's touring schedule and the lack of publisher.

I like Murderdolls better to be honest. They were alot more punk-ish then.

eh, mildly entertaining "horrorcore" (<- fake genre, but making a point. Close to Psychobilly) but the whole glam look he has kinda turns me off.

similar bands you may enjoy tho:

Tiger Army

Nekromantix

HorrorPops

Zombina and the Skeletotones

The Damned *Pioneers of the style

TSOL *Pioneers as well

Misfits

w/Glenn Danzig

w/Michael Graves

Happy Halloween >:P

Misfits, because they wrote it. Almost everything Davey Havok does is borrowed from Glenn Danzig

@Caaru-kun. Saying Horrorpunk is about as accurate as saying "gothic" A lot of people consider ICP to be horrorcore. Just like with "emo," if the term is used to lump together bands that only seem to share a fashion sense, it's probably a misnomer or utter stupidity

True true. It's rare that someone who redoes a song does it better than the original. However, it has been known to happen!

I always thought that 'Horrorcore' specifically reffered to the Hallowe'eny rap stuff like Insane Clown Posse and Hollywood Undead, and stuff like early AFI and The Misfits was 'Horror Punk'.

it's been my experience that people lump the two together

example..

A Graves-era Misfits cameo in an ICP film.

*side note. I absolutely HATE ICP and Psychopathic Records. Hate them with a burning passion

well they were amazing up until Danzig left. They took like almost a ten year break while they fought in court over the Misfits trademarks. they came back circa 1995 with new singer Michael Graves. I'm not sure when Graves left, Jerry Only took over Vocal duties. to date, Jerry is the only original member. they released a 1950s cover album, aptly name [i[Project 1950[/i] and most recently released an LP with songs based on the Romero zombie classics

The only true Misfits has Danzig. All others do not count.

And Tiger Army is the shit. I actually got my mom to listen to them.
