Guess I'm a chud for having the opinion that Synister Gates & The Rev (RIP) have been two of the most instrumentally talented people to grace the alternative genre.

They aren't bad at all Maggie, the new album is pretty awful, but older stuff is good.

However if you want good alt rock, look to Britain!

Thank you Pete ^^

OO! I love how it starts off!

Lol, you Brits think your so good :D (I'll listen to that in a min)

Isn't that how alot of bands are at times? The older stuff was good but then they get worse?

There is absolutely nothing special about their music. Sure, there are some nice guitar leads but everything else is nothing but mediocre. The vocals are annoying, and the song structure is extremely predictable and boring. Epic yawn fest.

If you're looking for a newer band with some real skill and talent listen to this:

Oh I already do since you posted them ages ago, my favourite song being Invisible Titans. I have their lyrics at the top of my blog.

The asphalt stains a shade of red
We never would have thought that we were dead
We wont rise from our ashes our host
The afterlife means we reign as ghosts

Some of the best words ever written to music.

There is absolutely nothing 'screamo' about any of that shit, It's just terrible mall-metal even for mall-metal standards. It sounds like a shitty clone of an already shitty band (Avenged Sevenfold). Also, that fruit is not a tenor.
I meant screamo as in the pig squealing, no need to get your knickers in a twist. I like Avenged Sevenfold and I learned that a tenor is a high male voice... so technically, it is... Also there's no need to use all the swear words over something like this, please express your hatred towards those bands at someone else because from just one post, you're getting on my nerves. I hope you get the point, I'm trying to say it as nicely as possible. Anyway, I like the song by I am Abomination.

I wouldn't describe that douche bags voice as high pitched at all. He's mid range and it's painfully obvious. If you meant 'pig squealing' which ironically there is none, then you should have said that from the start instead of being lazy and making a ignorant generalization... and swear words? You mean shit? Really?

Yeah, really. There was seriously no need for it. I was taught four ranges of voice: bass, tenor, alto and soprano... he clearly wasn't singing bass and he isn't hgih pitched enough to sound like a female soprano so it must be tenor. And sorry for not knowing what it was called, I was trying to make it understandable.

Saw Inme on Monday, was a pretty fun gig. Nice to come out of a gig not hurting for once actually.

My obsession right now is ETID, dem lyrics, I can't stop listening to this lately, Buckley is a genius...

Looking forward to the new C Bats album in a couple of weeks very much. Nice to have a bit of upbeat music every now and then...

Hi, there im new, :)..I think Im lost around this place and I saw this threat, so here I am, lol..

Well, I like the second vid, it was beautiful and kinda cute..um, and about Avenged Sevenfold, I think theyre last studio album was REALLY bad didnt (thought I like Nightmare, Welcome to the Family, So Far Away, Buried Alive, Victim, Fiction and Save me), but I know they have written better such as theyre first two metalcore albums, and City of Evil (who doesnt remind Bat Country between those), and theyre self titled album wasnt bad..hmm and maybe they still got it..

Now, Id like to say a little bit about my fav bands nowdays..I think I love death fucking metal (though Im kinda new to this), and I hate Metallica, cuz theyre really bored to me, so I suppose I love Cannibal Corpse (wich is the only 80s metal band I listen to), and I think theyre really good, and I love the fact that they still write songs (theyre last three albums Kill, Evisceration Plague, and Torture), so I think they dont sound too old to me (plus theyre good live), XD..I also listen to some metalcore/deathcore bands such as Bring me the Horizon, Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria, Escape the Fate, Bullet for my Valentine (perhaps Avenged Sevenfold too), Falling in Reverse, A day to Remembre, Dead by April, Sucide Silence, Carnifex, As I lay Dying, Miss May I, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cradle of Filth, Cerebral Bore..and some heavy Metal such as Disturbed, System of a Down and Deftones :)

I feel like there's a disproportionate amount of metalcore/hardcore being put up by all these emu kids. It must actually be true: those of us here who actually know what Emo is, don't listen to Emo anymore =[ while as the ship sinks, here's some jams I've been loving the past few months

I actually really liked that. Kinda reminds me of this band from my state called Citizen (not the pop-punk band). citizenhardcore.bandcamp.com/album/demo-2011
Check out Dead Lights and/or Exit Kids.
