Okay thank you :) I might also go to a tattoo studio and ask a piercer there a few questions.

I've thought about this for a while, because i think it looks badass. If i get my nose pierced in the middle bit, between your nostrils, where pigs have it done (i don't know what it's called). How often will i have to wear the ring in order to stop it healing? Basically, there's no way i could wear it at work, which is 8 hours a day 5 days a week, so would this be a waste of time?

I'd probably prefer a tattoo anyway and knowing me i'd never get round to getting it done and go off the idea anyway, so not that bothered.

Get a septum (that's what the piercing is called) retainer. It's curved and designed to hide a septum piercing whilst keeping something in the hole. But you'd have to leave to first ring in until it heals and that is a few months.

I have a friend who has the retainer type piercing for her septum but she has a special one that she can turn upside down so she can wear it inside her nose with no one knowing. Is that what your talking about Mikey?

that would be the one. They also make solid, flesh coloured plugs for hiding stretched ears. Though really, depending upon how large the hole is, the plug is mostly useless. Worked back when my ears were 00 gauge.

I have seen them. But my school isn't bothered about stretched ears so I won't need them that much thank you. I only want a 6mm hole anyway. May go an eight but everyone tells me that's the most painful stretch.

I have mine done, so from experience I can explain.

After you get your septum pierced, do not take it out for three days, after that if you take it out, do not take it out for more than 15 minutes or it will close up. Since you can't wear it at work, I suggest right after you get it pierced that you flip it up inside your nose and don't flip it down for at least 3 months. Surprisingly this is really how long it takes for your septum to heal completely. If you flip it up and down before then it will really hurt and you make it bleed and scar eventually. Hope this helps. Also often the piercer will suggest starting at a size 16, but honestly a 14 is easily doable if you want it slightly bigger.

They have those septum piercings in bull cattle. I watched a programme once on highland cows, so that's how I found out. It looks pretty good I have to admit although I probably would never get one. I want to get lip piercings though I'm a bit of a wimp so...

Can you not numb your mouth before you get it pierced?
And septums . . . Like I said I would love to get it done, but everyone says it is really painful, and I know I won't suit it cause my nose just isn't that pleasant to look at so I don't want jewellary drawing attention to it D:

Septum really wasn't that painful. The only bad part was the clamp that they put on my nose.

But you probably have a strong threshold for pain. I don't. One person also told me she had a tear in her eye when she got it done. She also has five other piercings so the others couldn't be that sore.

I don't have a high pain tolerance but facial piercings, including the septum aren't that bad at all. You just close your eyes when they stick it in and it'll be over within not even a second.

I want to get my nose pierced when I go to college but I've heard that they're hard to change?
A girl told me that hers wouldn't come out once so she had to yank it out, I don't really know what she meant.
Also, how hard are they to take care of?
(I'd get a ring.)

Well that's not too bad. I know I wouldn't suit it anyway. You must have really found your corset piercing painful as hell haha! What about surface piercings?

Contemplating getting my eyebrow done this summer, and stretching my lobes. I have 3 piercings in my lobes already so I'm not going to be able to stretch much, that's a pity. :(

I know someone who has two stretchers in one ear. It looks really smart!

Taking my septum ring out. Finally. I guess I'm growing out of the whole...idk what to call it. The whole thing altogether.

Took my Spider-bites out this christmas and just left them out. Haven't missed them at all. In fact, I find people interact with me less apprehensively.
