Well, I have. Twice. Once in May and another time like.... not so long ago. I went bowling with my cousins, Selena and Drake (twins) who are also emo, and a year older then me. ANyway so Selena goes french lessons and after her there is this punk rocker dude that goes as well. SHe doesn't really know him, she just saw him a few times. Anyway so this guy was there with us, and we were getting ready to leave and that punk rocker dude and these other 5 guys came to us and they were like hi, we said hi back to them but we were kinda weirded out cuz we didn't really know them. They asked us how old we were and I said 14 and Selena and Drake said 15. They told us they were 17 and then asked us if we are emo. We said 'yes' and Selena stepped forward and asked them if they got a problem. They said yes and threw on the floor and started kicking her. Me and Drake went to help her but they started kicking us as well. And now my hip feels like shit thanks to those basturds. Another time some dudes bashed a glass bottle on Drakes head cuz he's emo. I can't take it anymore. I'm scared as hell to get out of the house and it actually makes me cut myslef. I can't tell my mom cuz she is probably gonna go to the police but I don't want this to happen again!

I've never been properly been beated up for being emo.
I've taken a few kicks and punches, spitting in faces etc.
And a hella lot of verbal.
I hope you are ok.
I don't see what peoples problems are? I don't see why the way I dress and the music I listen to offends them so much.

I was only once physically beaten up for being emo but it was hardly anything, just a few lame punches from people that thought they were hard then ran away

I mostly just get verbally abused for being emo but it never happens if a chav is by himself and we're in a group

By the way, don't mention that you are actually emo

I didn't know what I was soupposed to say... and listen here. I do know why I was beaten up and I do know that partly it was My fault. Thanks to those basturds, my hip feels like shit and my cousins, who got the cuts on there wrists re-opened by them, needed stiches. So you better shut up and show a little respect.

Well, I haven't been beaten up yet. Lets hope it stays that way.

However, people do make bad comments to me. Even my friends. Maybe I should find new friends.

okay im not sure if this is right but i might aswell let you all know what i think

notice how on a lot of these anti-emo threads people abuse emos and offend them and point out their direct problems, yet none of these problems seem to be true according to you're replys? well yeah, i reckon its the fact that you come over emo to other people and they presume you are just another stereotypical emo.

people wouldn't be able to beat you up if they didnt see you as an emo and if you didnt come across as emo in the streets or something would they? It may not be correct for me to say this but, maybe if some of you didnt dress emo then nobody would realise you are? No better way to hide than in a crowd right, so just dress like the crowd and you wont get hasstled.

This is probably wrong but what the hell, ill post it anyway

Well no place is safe actually.
It's all about how you tend to judge a place due to the high security and well equipped alarm system or that the place looks peaceful.
Cause this sort of things could happened anywhere.
But she's right though.
Maybe it happened only a couple of time.

I'm not any kind of coward who would just do what people want me to do. Although that IS a good idea, I dress the way I want and nobody has the right to beat me up if they don't like it. <_<

Hmm well..
I'm not exactly the 'everyday emo' you see.
I don't look like one 'cause of course my parents are too, I don't know, but they don't let me do anything with my style.

ANYWAYS
I do know what it's like to get beaten up just because you are emo.
People rant on and on about me being another stupid 'one of them'.
The freak of nature.
The one that stands out.

I get teased and pushed around daily because I'm acting like myself.
Getting beat up is the worst.
It hurts, and it's just 'cause you express yourself differently than others.
YES, I think it's wrong and YES, I think it should stop.
It probably won't though because the people beating on you,
don't see your life through your eyes.
