From First To Last was formed by guitarist Matt Good during high school under the name of "First Too Last". Eventually a solid line up was formed, with vocalist Philip Reardon, guitarist Travis Richter, bassist Joey Antillon and drummer Derek Bloom. The band then released the EP Aesthetic on Four Leaf Recordings. Reardon left the band prior to the recording of debut album Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count, he later formed a band named The New Tragic, however, their Myspace page now appears near empty with the songs removed. During the recording of the album, Sonny Moore had befriended Matt Good, and came to visit the studio where the band were recording. He originally intended to play guitar for the band, but the band heard him singing in the vocal booth and asked him to be the new vocalist. Moore had only recently turned 16. The album was released on Epitaph Records.
Shortly before recording their second album Heroine, Weisberg was kicked out of the band and allegedly filed a law suit for $10 million. Weisberg recently set up a band called City Archaic.
In February 2007, lead singer Sonny Moore left FFTL to pursue his solo career.
