Love them? Hate Them?

I personally think there first 2 cd's were orgasm on a disk, the 3rd one was mehhh, okay.

I cant really think of any other band that i've seen live on stage that's impressed me as much as Silverstein has.

check them out, here are some of there best songs in my opinion:

Smashed Into Pieces
Bleeds No More
Your Sword Vs. My Dagger
Discovering The Waterfront
The Last Days Of Summer
Discovering The Waterfront

Silverstein... dear Christ, just where does one start when it comes to this complete train wreck of a band?!

Silverstein are guilty of the following counts:
- wrongfully calling their shitty music emo/screamo
- terrible live shows (Yes, I've had the displeasure. I saw them with Alexisonfire in either 03 or 04. Alexisonfire were on point, as for Silverstein, I left 30 seconds into their 2nd song)
- shitty overly generic lyrics and song writing (how many fucking choruses do you need?)

I can't honestly think of a single positive thing to say about this band, they consistently suck all the way across the board. Either way this band blows, along with nearly every other shitty band on Victory Records.

Everything about that show sucked except for Alexisonfire. I have no idea why AOF were on that tour, the only common thing they have with Silverstein is that they are also from Canada. I'd expect this sort of shit now from AOF but not back when I saw them because bare in mind this was nearly a year before Watch Out was released so they were still touring on their self titled album.

It gets even worse, that show was also the very first (or one of the first) west coast show for Hawthorne Heights. Talk about the worst fucking opener ever. I'm just glad AOF didn't play last other wise I would have had to wait through even more shitty bands. And it sucked because most of the people there weren't even into AOF, they were all there for shitty ass Silverstein. After I ditched the show I went outside and chatted with a few of the dudes from AOF for about 10 minutes, really nice guys. From what I hear they are still really nice/level headed people, they are just stoked to be able to play music for a living. To my knowledge they've never given a shit about pleasing the industry, they just play what they love for better or for worse, although it wouldn't hurt them to consider bringing back their original sound (which was worlds better than what they sound like now). I still find it hard to believe that their heaviest album (closest thing to screamo the mainstream will ever accept) was their most popular album. I still jam the self titled album, and it still shreds just as much as when it first came out.

I love them.. just love their sound. I'm not too picky unless it's religious music.. I just don't prefer to listen to that.. not a big fan of rap either
