You missed the scarcasm so I'll just ignore that first comment.....

And yes bipolar disorder is quite hard to "get"........it's considered* to be a genetic disorder of the brain......with abnormalities in the brain chemistry causing extreme shifts in mood....energy and function....it's not like normal depression which can effect anyone........but attention whores claim to have it because it sounds cooler to say you're bipolar

*Has yet to be proven conclusively.....but there is substantial evidence to suggest it is

When did depression and bipolar disorder become fashionable? Seriously, what happened to beauty being found in joy...

It's just that it seems like most people these days claim they have some sort of personality disorder. Every roommate I've ever had feels the need to claim being OCD. No, dear, you just like to keep things neat. There's a difference.

I blame drug companies with all their medication ads. People selfdiagnose far too much now.

Nearly everyone has an ocd of some sort. Its the severe ones that people count, like washing your hands a zillion times. My cousin has to keep her doors locked and checks them about 5 times every time she locks it and before she goes to bed.

Or everyone has ADHD or ADD
Oh god, my sister has OCD. I feel so bad for her, it must be hell.

Or it's just a good excuse if you feel like bitching.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"I'm bi-polar!"
"Oh..."

Almost everyone has compulsive tendencies. Like I must always have things at right angles. It's not until it interferes with everyday life that it's OCD. But everyone (here at least) claims to have it because they some sort of compulsion.

And ADHD. God. Overdiagnosed. A school counselor told me I had it, and my mum (god love her) just said, No, actually she's a child. They do that.

My sister eats M&Ms that way. She groups them into color and then eats them in the order of the spectrum. Fucks with her head when I just eat them by the mixed handful
