There's those people who think about how to make it possible for people to develop websites. They think up standards and define them. Then Microsoft come with their IE and ignore them. So the web developers write their code and think "yes, that should work" - the IE comes and - surprise, surprise - it looks like shit. But because so many people use IE (because it's pre-installed) they have to spend hours trying to twist the website so that even in the IE it looks like it should look.
That's one point of it. There are other flaws.

Use Firefox.
Or Opera.

Don't use IE and don't use Chrome.

what she said... firefox or opera are the best browsers out there i think... and i have tested out a lot of different ones... IE fails miserably worse than anything else...

i downloaded Konqueror... but i had problems with getting internet to work on ubuntu (damn orange!!!) so i never really used it...

and i don't think i've heard of Epiphany...

No idea about those cheat sheets.
But get an anti-vir and a good firewall. And the usual stuff, like Firefox, VLC player, etc.

And something to make an image/back-up.

But does anyone know how to remove the grub bootloader...? mine is completely screwed up and to top it up i dropped the hard-drive with ubuntu/grub so i'm stuck with grub in the MBR or something and i can't boot into either of my other OS's... :S

i've tried google, but the fixmbr command in the recovery console doesn't work, and that's all that comes up... :S

I need help figuring out the song to the music video I have in my head. please excuse me but Ive already mixed it up with other music videos

the one in mind was about 5 years old. I seen it on Fuse. I remember there being a screaming part in it but I dont remember if it was indeed screamo but I remember liking it despite disliking others that were simular to it. I remember the band playing in a morgue with the cabnits behind them that looked like where bodies would go. that much im certian of.

however the next part im not....

its a part where this person is dying and this black guy (angel of death?) comes in and is getting ready to take the little flame that pops out of her chest. I cant remember if it was the doctor or what but they seen the guy and went looking and then followed him into a room and he looked at the dead guy and it was the angel of death guy. that may be another music vid altogether so IDK. I know I liked that one too lol. so anyone have a CLUE what im talking about?

Oh! All this talk about remembering music reminded me of a previous success... I heard this song in line for a roller coaster (LOL to previous conversations with Musefreak) and I liked it but could only remember one line. I tried to find it but gave up until about a year later someone reminded me of it. From just the one line... I FOUND THE SONG!! And I had my friend download it off Limewire and send it to me. I got the instrumental version AND the singing version.

The song was Cells by The Servant BTW and it's one of my all-time favorites.

nah im mostly a lurker. I prefer to listen (well read) and learn. you are prolly one of those ppl who complain that there is another post thats the same as 20 others so be glad im not running around to create #21. I was always taught if you cant say nothing nice (or constructive) dont say nothin at all so I dont cause heck Im new to alot of emotive music and all the other stuff, so I sit back and learn sorry if that up sets you but this is the help section isnt it and I was told to post here instead next time I had questions on such. so if anyone knows who the artist or song might be lemme know. thanks.

I don't really watch music videos (unless there's a specific song I'm looking for) so I wouldn't be the one to ask but your post reminded me of something else.

And no that's not upsetting at all, in fact this forum would be a lot better if new posters did that before they posted.

Have you tried googling the description? Like typing in "music video in morgue" or the second part that you weren't sure of. Maybe the song would come up in a search and it'd refresh your memory...

if I knew how to help I would but I dont and this aint the only post Ive posted before other wise i'd have only 2 posts or so to my post count...

I had a poem in one section and ive contributed where I was able must I post everyday to get help or something...if so that aint right either.

that wasnt directed at you, sorry. Ive tried it. ive tried searching through as many bands I could find listed on the site and went through thier hits and videos but found nothing but alot of music I like lol.

the morgue search dont come up with much, mostly movies. it bugs me when I cant remember these kinna things I wish I could just remember a tune or lyric....

ANd about the video... I know how you feel, but if you forget about it for a couple years chances are it'll turn up when you LEAST expect it! I know you don't want to hear that but that's all I can say for you...
