Scuzz is crap now... it's playing MCR and FALLOUT BOY... god... I've still got my trusty Metal Hammer Mag to look at! Kerrang is worse both the mag and music channel... but if you like that stuff Kerrang is the place to go..

my friend went to see them in Rock City (Nottingham - England) and he said it was absolutly mental, and they were amazing live, the whole crowd was crazy and they really managed to create such a sense of togetherness with their music!

He came back with a cracked rib though because of the Mosh Pits :/ haha! wish i could have been there!

Hell yeah. I said, somewhere on here, I think it was on here, might have been on my blog/facebook, not sure, anyways (if you make it through this run-on sentence) they are a bad ass band live. Unfortunately when I saw them they had technical issues and had to cut their set short. This is a band I will see again.

Expected more from their newest album, but still a good band.

Really? I think it is some of their best work.

They had problems with the bass at the show I went to as well. Damn, maybe he needs to buy a different bass.

Their newest album is the best.
In that it's decent, not that it's good or made me shit my pants.

Actually, it was average-ish or below.
The second and third tracks were catchy until the Linkin Park breakdown in the third one.

How about you stop telling spam-bots to gtfo and instead do something useful and report them.

I'm sure someone else did already, you made that topic about not reporting if you think someone else did.

Oh, so there was a spambot there. Made it look like Bleach was telling me to "GTFO Fag".

Kind of funny in a way

Enter Shikari are not just musically brilliant, but the satire in their songs and the political implications are dead on. I saw them at GIAN festival the year before last and then again at their album release show for 'Common Dreads' at Heaven in London. Both were amazing and they're probably one of the best bands I've seen live.

I just started listening to them, and i love the electronic, techno "trancecore" sound

They're alright, i enjoyed them live (sadly they were supported by DWP though). I really like the first half of Take To The Skies, however too many songs on it just felt thrown together in order to lengthen the album a bit, like Return and Energizer and No Sweat, just sounded like shit IMO. But i love some of their songs, like Ok, Time For Plan B.

Their second album, Common Dreads was weird, i liked it, but it still felt like a failure in a few ways. They clearly matured a lot, but with this they seem to have lost some of their charm and Rou's screaming vocals were frankly terrible, although his singing is now way better.

I've not heard anything more recent than that, but apparently their new single is an abomination, not sure what it's called.

That is off of the album Tribalism, which, to be honest, is just an extension of Common Dreads. This is a video of the latest song they have:

Some days I think that they are not sure which direction to take with their music. Being in the middle ground of hardcore and hardcore is probably not an easy place to be. If they go more electronic they could upset the hardcore (post-hardcore) fans and if they adopt a more post-hardcore sound they could upset the electronic fans. Sometimes they do find a great balance but some songs just sound like filler.

Still love this band though, just wish they would find a better balance between the two worlds they live in.

Yeah, i agree, i think that's their problem too. When they do things well, it just works and sounds really good. When they mess up a little bit, because of the drastically different sounds they're mixing it sounds a little bit off.

The second vid isn't working, that's probably the one i want to see.
