So, if you haven't heard by now, Michael Jackson has died. While we can all agree that the man lived a strange (read: tabloid worthy) life, what about his music? An appreciation thread of sorts.

Thriller is still the best selling album of all time. Who hasn't done the "Thriller" dance at least once?

Even though I thought he was a pedo...
I still loved him.

Who's NOT a pedo these days anyway?

I teared up a little.
My mom blasted the Jackson Five
cd on the way home.

She cried more over Farrah Fawcett
though...

Thriller was great and still is. Unfortunatly he will be remembered more for his weirdness than his music. He was talented and he was also a great dancer.
In saying this however i think there is too much being made about his death. Wtf are people going to acheive bu congregating at his birth home or at teh hospital? Go home and get a fucking job. You didnt know MJ.

^^Srsly.

He sang the song in Free Willy... one of my all-time favorite movies! So I must put in my condolences for that....
And plus Thriller and the dance is AWESOME!

True. He will be remember more for his weirdness because that is what most people know him for. Unless you were born before 1990 you probably do not remember when Michael Jackson was the "King Of Pop". Sadly, I remember when the Thriller video hit MTV. Good times.

And his death? I am not sure about why people are so upset. Sure he was a great entertainer but again, what had he done recently? People can pay their respects but they need to go on with their lives.

LOL I never thought of her as hot. But of course when I liked that movie the most I was pretty young. And yes the other two were lame, especially the second one. The third one was okay, but the first is always the best!

He died, as still a kid inside. Or was it still inside a kid?
ROFL.
But seriously, I listened to a cover of "Beat It", in tribute to him.

RIP.

its good to remember him and his hits and talk about his weirdness....but for fucks sake not all fucking day. And it will get worse when the funeral comes around. Get over it you didnt know them. Id even feel that way if one of the members from Muse died tragically. I love them dearly but i wont be holding candlelight vigils for someone i dont know.

I'm just bummed that I never got a chance to see him live.
He was definitely the king of pop, so in that respect it's a shame he's now dead. But all in all, people die everyday, it's not exactly a phenomenon.
