[quote name='Chris' post='247294' date='Dec 28 2009, 02:44 PM']OK, I'm reviving my n00bish thread and asking a mod to change the title to 'sad music'.

New concept: Similar to Marshall Banana's 'beautiful songs' thread, only with sad ones.
Post some sad music! NAO!

'Brick' by Ben Folds Five

From the album 'Whatever and Ever Amen'

I know they're a fail band but this song used to make me sad.

This song makes me sad because I used to think it was the last song they were ever making... and it makes me think that soon enough TFK WILL break up and then this song will be really sad for me.

Also this song is sad because I believe in the last days of this earth and that's what this song is about.

Otherwise I can't think of any other sad songs right now.

I don't know if you guys appreciate bands and songs from my country, but you guys should give it a try.

1. Escape the hurt - Typecast
2. Clutching - Typecast
3. Will you ever learn - Typecast
4. Evidence - Urbandub
5. 21 and counting - Typecast

Here are some famous bands.

1. Emily - From first to last
2. Beauty through broken glass - Eyes set to kill
3. Remembering Sunday - All time low
4. Padmasana - Buckethead
5. Electric Tears - Buckethead

Only the piano version is actually sad, but I'd say more so remorseful than sad.

They remind me of 'The Last Unicorn' and that was a pretty goddamn sad movie.

Brought me to tears when I first heard this one.

Also, 'Silhouette' and 'A Conversation' by them.

Anything by the band "Arms like yours" is really sad to me. I don't know why but the emotion they put into the singing along with the ambientish guitar behind it is simply beautiful. Check out the song My Silhouette. It's really good:D

"Poison & Wine"

You only know what I want you to
I know everything you don't want me to
Oh your mouth is poison, your mouth is wine
You think your dreams are the same as mine
Oh I don't love you but I always will
Oh I don't love you but I always will
Oh I don't love you but I always will
I always will

I wish you'd hold me when I turn my back
The less I give the more I get back
Oh your hands can heal, your hands can bruise
I don't have a choice but I'd still choose you

Oh I don't love you but I always will [x7]
I always will [x5]

Here's a very good mash-up of two songs that I think is very sad.

Also I cannot seem to actually put the video itself into my post. Could this irritating bug be looked into.

ha, what I really find funny is that both bands are coming from two completely different views on religion. Both songs on their own are great, but I think that the emotion/message that they try to portray gets lost when you slam them together

and my mopey/awesome video for today

It's my best friend that really likes Paramore and Funeral For A Friend. (The same person who introduced me to that song) I don't really know all that much about them. What are the two bands' different views on religion then?

Paramore's lead singer is a Christian and in some of her old songs, maybe new one's, not for sure she'll add some of those beliefs to her songs.

Funeral for a friend, not sure about them.

Well judging from what xJoeySixShooterx said, I'd guess that they're probably atheist then.
