1) A ship carrying coal leaves newcastle (england) and takes 2 weeks to sail to new york with its cargo, in a straight line

Which part of the ship travels the furthest?

2) A hunter gets hungry, he leaves his house looking for a bear, he travels 10 miles south, sees nothing, he then walks 10 miles

east, sees a bear, shoots it, he travels 10 miles north and he's home

What colour is the bear?

3) A E F H I .......Whats the next letter in the sequence?

1. The edge of the propeller. The answer you have is probably the highest up part of the ship though.
2. White - He's starts at the north pole.
3. K - Letters that can be drawn using straight lines only.

*yawn* Next.

it is the highest point of the ship, cause the world is oblate spheroidal, round if you want, so the highest point travels the furthest distance

I hadn't heard the boat on before, but, well, it was easy.

Yes, and it's skin is black.

We perceive them as white though, so I said white.

Because it not only traveled from the UK to the US, but it also spun round a hell of a lot, and the furthest point from the middle is turning the fastest, therefor, the edge of the prop.

i said in a straight line, when dealing with logic look for the unnecessary, when you get rid of that its becomes clear

like the letters one, i took all the squiggly letters out just leaving the straight ones in.

@ ily, no it is definitely the tip of the mast

No, it's not. the properllor tip travels further. Also, if it's a straight line, it shouldn't go round the curvature of the earth; it should go through it.

we are talking distance across the earths surface, the prop tip does not come into it

also the vessel is following a line of longitude, which is a straight line Arrrrrggggg

You didn't specify either of these pieces of information in the original question, so my answers are perfectly valid.
