Modern Screamo? But screamo died over a decade ago...

You mean listen to the "mall-core" that is now labeled as screamo by people that never knew what screamo was/is in the first place. Right. Any-fucking-ways, there is a BMTH thread somewhere around here. Use the search function.

You're a fucking idiot. Your head must be under a damn rock because kids haven't listened to shit like Silverstein for like 5 years. Right now what's hot: Asking Alexandria, Of Mice And Men, The Ghost Inside, Broadway...etc shit from 5 or 6 years ago? not so much.

And funny you mention BTMH because deathcore is on it's way out. BMTH are a perfect example of that, for proof listen to their new album. Now they are going for the heavier post hardcore sound like so many other successful bands in the scene are. Right now what's in is catchy singing, and crushing breakdowns... not four strainght minutes of guitar chugging with annoying pig squeals every 15 seconds.

Lastly, scene kids for the most part don't listen to screamo. You're just a fucking idiot. Aside from some random scene kid digging CTTS most of them have never heard of it and have no clue what actual screamo even is or sounds like.

Why hello there :)

I guess in some ways I'm the exception that proves the rule. I'm still a scene kid, but since coming here I've started to get into real screamo, especially CTTS, Pg. 99, Sed Non Satiata and I Would Set Myself On Fire For You. If I hadn't started here, I would have never have even heard of half that stuff.

I myself love bmth, but they aren't real screamo... they are deathcore, maybe even scene.. i love the scene lifestyle, but it's true that they aren't real emo.

ALL THESE FUCKING GENRES ARE CONFUSING ME!!!
I have no idea what's what any more because people keep adopting old names and shit keeps changing.

I'm massively surprised by BMTH's new album, i hated their old stuff, like really hated it, but they seem like all of a sudden they've actually decided to think as musicians for once, stop with just copying everything generic about the genre they can think of and make some of their own music, and it turned out well? In their early days i'd have bet my right testicle (and that's the good one) that they got their record label because of their tattoos, inability to play their own music and love of copying other retards of a similar description. Never say i don't give things a second chance.

They aren't the first band to do this in the last couple of years either (looks at Norma Jean), maybe all this generic crap could have the odd good outcome.

This.
Why the hell are they so famous?
They really do (or did) sound like every other deathcore(?) band out there. Has there fringe and tattoo fakery seriously fooled this many people?
