Bring Me The Horizon are a metalcore/deathcore band from Sheffield, England, formed in 2004. The genre and quality of their music has been in constant debate, with 2006's Count Your Blessings and 2008's Suicide Season proving very polarizing in the metal community. Their newest release, 2010's There is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It, There is a Heaven, Let's Keep it a Secret has found critical acclaim, many critics have lauded it as their most mature and polished yet. Though the band stayed mostly within the constraints of party-hard metal/deathcore on their previous albums, they have expanded sonically on There is a Hell..., breaking genre conventions by including choirs and synths. The band have attracted controversy due to the violent nature and themes of their lyrics, a faked fistfight with the band Architects and acclegations lead singer Oli Sykes assaulted and urinated on a fan.

That's the thing, this album is just, good. It has a level of creativity that is surprising for a "deathcore" band. I mean, a choir? in a BMTH song? It still sounds close enough to the last two to avoid totally alienating their old fans but with an original and approachable sound that can draw in new fans.

Their old stuff, frankly, sounded like shit. Was just boring, generic and not my thing at all.
But 'It Never Ends' sounds alright, might check out their new album and give them a chance.

That's the point, the new album is different. You really should check it out. Besides, it's 2010 and a quick trot through filestube(dot)com might yield a copy of the album. Just, if you enjoy it, go buy it.

I actually like the new BMTH album. It's rare that a band goes from pure shit to good.. it's almost always the other way around.

The weird thing about it is, not only is it fan-fucking-tastic, it's their most accessible yet. Kids who listen to radio pop can quite easily get into it, people who hate BMTH like it, and old-school BMTH fans love it.

I've never said this before about this band but i may actually be in love with one of their songs.

Don't Go - BMTH

I think it's the violins and the fact that they have a female singer in there with them.

I actually got round to listening to this at the weekend, and i was slightly shocked when i found myself liking more than one song.

Also, Filestube is the go-to site for people who cba with torrenting. Me being one of those people. I just don't know if i like it enough to spend money on it, a band suddenly not being shit doesn't necessarily warrant me parting with my cash especially when i'm certain they're making a good amount of money from pretty much leading their scene right now, probably more than they deserve. If i find myself listening to it more then i'll consider.

I've never spent money on downloading music. Ya, i know. Horrible. BUT i actually paid my 0.99 cents for that download. I haven't taken a listen to all of their songs so i don't really know if it's like the song "Don't Go" but if it is, i may consider going out and buying the CD. I keep listening to it, and it's not Oli who makes the song. It's the symphonic music in the background that brings the song together and i never knew that, that type of band could pull it off. It shocked me.

Been using Filestube for a long time. Faster, and safer, than torrents. Then again, that's why I love the Usenet.

I did buy this album. I actually try to buy music. Depends on how old the band is, if I like the band, or if I have the spare funds lying around to buy a CD. Seems so wasteful though, once I buy a CD, rip it, I just toss it into a box never to see it again.

Still, I have not yet grown tired of this album by BMTH.

My favourite album by them is definitely their most recent one. You don't get very many bands that sound good live and on CDs.

I've just started listening to some of their stuff and it's pretty good. Not sure if it's their newer stuff or yet because I've been giving the songs and I listen and go from there haha.
