I just borrowed The Black Parade. And I really love it.
No outstanding guitar parts, but solid and nice riffs. Great drum work, I think. Uhm, that makes me sound like some music expert. LOL I'm not.
"Blood": ok, I heard that they listened to a lot of Classic Rock during recording and this very much proves that they were listening to A Night At The Opera by Queen (-> Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon). LOL It also reminds me of a song by a German band called Subway To Sally: "Julia und die Räuber" is kind of their hymn, the fans sing it to get encores, etc. Its refrain also starts with "blood, blood" and also mentions drinking blood; besides that it's a song that music-wise sounds very harmless but isn't lyric-wise.
And Gerard IS a hottie... *cough*
After reading about them and seeing stuff on YouTube he so reminded me of someone. That was so annyoing! It's like searching for a word and not quite remembering it. But I think I figured out now who he's reminding me off, and it's two guys I had a crush on - so it might not be suprising that I think he's attractive, too (oh, and he's my age! Yay! He's even older! I'm so proud of myself...). I'm sooo glad I figured that out. It was really annyoing.

LOL No way they sound like Queen! Not quite as complicated and varied, nearly no real ballad, less piano and keyboard, no outstanding guitar solos, choirs are not so much layered, etc...
Haha, but I'm just a die hard Queen fan - nothing will sound like Queen for me.
PS: Ich bin aus Baden, in der linken unteren Ecke von Deutschland, in der Nähe von Freiburg (sorry, just been explaining where I live in Germany).
PPS: And it's Freddie. With i and e. :;

linken unteren Ecke - The left under corner?
Either German has some weird way of expressing location or I've already forgotten all of my german...

LOL No, I have some weird way of expressing location... It's just, when you look at a map of Germany it is in that corner... South-Western, you could also say...

I love them, but I really don't mind about the genre of their music.
And I have to admit the last cd has another sound, and I prefer the first two, even if the songs are catchy.

Wien...schon mal irgendwo gehört... LOL
Well, Black Parade is a bit too heavy to sound like Queen. Also the songs are not so muhc different to each other. but it isn't a bad thing. I guess it just sounds like MCR. That's how it's supoosed to be.
I watched the Project Revolution stream on MySpace. the stream broke off at one time and the first thing I hear are the words from a Queen song (just before Cancer) - I was like "WTF?!"
@Kayla: Yes, those two are among the best of the album.
@the YouTube video: LOL the screaming is soo loud you can't understand what he's saying after "my brother"

For me it's always quite difficult to file bands. I'd say they play Hard Rock. *shrug*

I'd say poppy-punk with a slightly more aggressive edge.
Not to my taste, but to each their own.
