What movies have you seen lately?

nuk's Photo nuk 06 Jul 2007

If this topic will get popular maybe i'll open a whole new section about movies. :)

So, i start :)

Saw 'Blood and chocolate' a few days ago. The film was made in Romania and is with werewolves and a writer who fall in love with the leader's step daughter; i won't say more but I pretty much liked it! :)

Movies i've watched in the last couple of days:

The Bridge - Movie based on California's Golden Gate Bridge. They set a camera up for 1 year in 2004 and are documenting the suicides that have happened on it. They talk with the families of those who committed suicide on it in 2004.

Zodiac - A movie about a serial killer who goes on a random killing spree in the 1960's and they can't seem to catch him.

Network - A News Anchor gets fired from his job and makes a public outrage on the TV station and the network he was working for rehire him because he made the ratings higher with his rantings about the network and other stuff that makes him mad.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - About a "lucky" pair of pants a group of friends found in a store and how it effects their lives.

This is Spinal Tap - A "Rockumentary" on the band Spinal Tap.

Ghost in the Shell - A cyborg cop and partner hunt down a hacker that goes by the name of the Puppet Master.

Wake up, Ron Burgundy - A movie that was made out of stuff that never got put into Anchorman.

Nacho Libre - A Jack Black film about Jack Black wanting to become the best wrestler in the world.

Saw Cloverfield last saturday. Lived up to some of the hype, better than I thought it would be, but still a bit meh.

No Country For Old Men the week before was excellent. A little disjointed and an abrupt ending, but a great Coen brothers film me thinks. Gotta love a psychotic hit man.

I saw Juno a while ago, it was brilliant. I'm also not just saying this because I want to marry both Ellen Page and Michael Cera.

Also, The Great Debaters was definitely amazing, probably the best film I've seen in the past year.

Her lyrics are great and very direct.

"and we'll pray, all damn day, every day,
that all this shit our president has got us in will go away
while we strive to figure out a way we can survive
these trying times without losing our minds"
