if u guys havent heard them then do yourselves a favour.. they'r music is a bit different to most emo bands in the sense that theeir songs usually revolve around politics, war, and religion.. always intense discusions..

Thursday AREN'T emo... they are more of an aggressive modern rock/post emo influenced hybrid...
the only remotely "emo" album the band put out was their debut album titled "Waiting" some 7 plus years ago... this album was the bands only Post Emo release and easily their best album...

funny thing about "at this velocity" is that it's the only good song on the new album... not only that but it has an obvious screamo influence to it... which is very strange in it's own way... i'm not really talking about the vocals i'm talking more along the lines of the actual music... you can hear hints every hear and there... now if only Thursday would write an entire album based on that one song... they have called Saetia and Circle Takes The Square major musical influences before, and i personally feel Thursday would make an amazing screamo band should they ever decide to cross over into that genre... now that they are unsigned and independent they very well might do something off the wall...

Fuck yes. Geoff Rickley has got the voice for it as well; remember how it was on Waiting? Fractured, a little bit higher, a little out-of-tune (in a good way) - he could easily rival Billy Werner.

i love the "out of tune in a good way" type of vocals...
listen to the song 1200 AM by The Khayembii Communique ...it's so fucking amazing.

I completely agree.
They should have stayed with the post-emo stuff like on Waiting.
Mhm, easily their best album.
and I also like the 'out of tune' vocals.
Geoff used to have that down.

I randomly decided to listen to them a few months ago
and I love their albums in order.
Waiting is amazing! From start to finish, wonderful
Full Collapse is great, and musically pleasing
War All The Time catches my interest sometimes
Otherwise, amazing work.

Their debut album, as Ryan said, is FUCKING incredible. This band is really good, and also as Ryan said they aren't emo.

I saw these guys, along with Dillinger Escape Plan, in Saint Louis a few weeks ago. Great band.

I loved that band during 7-9 grade.
I saw them live not to long ago. I hate their fan, Geoff is awfull and Dillinger Escape Plan totally stole the show.
Needed more Daïtro.
