The Scene Aesthetic is an acoustic band from Everett, Washington that formed in January 2005. Its first single "Beauty in the Breakdown" achieved instant success on Myspace and purevolume. Members Andrews de Torres and Eric Bowley continued to compose songs and released their first album Building Homes From What We've Known within a year.

The band's first tour ended on December 9, 2006. As of May 2007, Andrew has been working with his other band Danger:Radio while Eric is serving as an LDS missionary in Argentina. But in July 2007 Andrew is planning on going on a small tour with The Scene Aesthetic. Eric will not be able to attend due to his mission, but there will be a guest singer in his place.

The band released a second album which is self-titled on July 10, 2007. The album features three new songs and remastered versions of the tracks from their previous record.

I love them. It took time to get use to them, but when I did...I now just constantly listen to them.

no... their lyrics suck. if you had a broad vocabulary and an understanding of the artform known as music, youd realize how one dimensional and well . . .sucky this band is.
